Sponsored ‘Stay Awake’ at Seabrook Day Nursery
Avid fundraisers from Seabrook Day Nursery in Luton have taken part in an all-night ‘stay awake’ challenge to raise funds for mental health charity, Mind.
At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Lewsey Road, practitioners Gemma Bell, Jade Mead, Debbie Akerman, Eama Rafiq, B Nolan, Steph Neville and Claire Irwin raised a grand total of £277.50 for the worthy cause, and passed the time with activities such as plate spinning and hide and seek.
Seabrook Day Nursery Team Leader, Gemma Bell explained;
It was a real challenge to stay awake through the night but the sense of team spirit kept us going. We are delighted to be donating this money to Mind, which will go towards funding vital services such as their telephone support line.”
Seabrook has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
