Seabrook Day Nursery marks ‘Child Safety Week’

Children from Seabrook Day Nursery in Luton have received a masterclass in preventing and handling risks from a team of experts, as well as a familiar cartoon face in order to mark ‘Child Safety Week’ in the UK.

Officers from Bedfordshire Police took time out of their busy schedules to pay a visit to children at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Lewsey Road, along with Chase from Paw Patrol to discuss important topics such as how to cross the road safely and what number to ring in an emergency.

Seabrook Day Nursery Team Leader, Gemma Bell explained;

“The children’s safety and wellbeing is our number one priority so we are very grateful to the police for coming and sharing this important information with us. We have also extended the learning within nursery by carrying out fire drills with pre-school, as well as providing parents with additional safety advice.”
