Pumpkin parade at Cedar Park Day Nursery

Bats, cats and faces were just some of the spooky designs produced by children from Cedar Park Day Nursery in Twyford as they carved and decorated their own pumpkins as part of Halloween festivities.

Following the activity, pre-schoolers from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Bridge Farm Road continued to showcase their creativity by making a spectacular Halloween themed scene in the setting entrance, before being tasked with judging the entries of practitioners as they went head to head in a pumpkin decorating competition.

Cedar Park Day Nursery Manager, Emma Kemp explained;

“We have had a brilliant time using pumpkins as our learning inspiration to focus on Halloween, and this has allowed for endless opportunities to be creative. We love to mark special occasions throughout the year, and the children were fascinated to learn more about this holiday.”
