Knowle Green Day Nursery superheroes raise money for ‘Mind’
Children and staff from Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines have unleashed their superhero alter-egos to raise money for leading mental health charity, ‘Mind’.
At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Knowle Green, an array of show stopping costumes were exhibited by children and practitioners before discussing what their superpower of choice would be.
Knowle Green Day Nursery Team Leader, Hannah Willis explained;
“We love an occasion to dress up at nursery, and everybody has made such a brilliant effort with their costumes. Mind is an incredibly worthy charity and we’re very pleased to be donating £100 to them from this event.”
Knowle Green has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
“We aim to make a real difference when it comes to supporting worthy causes and Mind is reaching out to about 14 million people a year in the UK who are experiencing a mental health problem,” said Faye Walker, Nursery Manager.
Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Money raised will fund the charity’s work including the Mind Infoline and campaigning to secure a better deal for everybody who experiences a mental health problem.
