Halloween party raises money for ‘Mind’ at Windmill Hill Day Nursery
Delighted children from Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon proudly displayed their most imaginative costumes for the setting’s annual Halloween party, all whilst raising money for leading mental health charity, ‘Mind’.
From sales of tickets and refreshments, the day nursery on Windmill Business Park, Whitehill Way was able to raise a grand total of £246 for the cause, whilst children and their parents enjoyed an array of themed activities; including pumpkin carving, potion making, hair braiding, face painting and a disco.
Windmill Hill Day Nursery Manager, Lora Worthington explained;
“The Halloween party was a huge success and the children had a fantastic time enjoying the festivities with their friends. This also provided a wonderful opportunity for our busy parents to socialise with one another. We are thrilled to be donating the money raised to Mind, which will be used to fund crucial services such as the telephone support line.”
Windmill Hill has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
