Greengables Day Nursery practitioners honoured by community

Practitioners from Greengables Day Nursery in Owlsmoor were delighted to receive a special delivery after being nominated by grateful parents for their hard work.

Whilst caring for the children of key worker parents during the coronavirus outbreak, practitioners from the day nursery on Yeovil Road received a delivery of handmade chocolate brownies to thank them for their efforts, after being nominated on local community website ‘A Cake a Day’ which honours special individuals and groups.

The treats were created and delivered by volunteer, Chrissy Brooks, who is using her daily hour of exercise to drop off the cakes to extraordinary key workers in the area.

Greengables Day Nursery Manager, Lyndsey Burns explained;

“We were absolutely thrilled to receive this delivery and have been so inspired by all the acts of kindness, including this one, happening within the community at the moment. We would like to extend our thanks to all of the amazing key workers for their continued dedication during this difficult time.”
