‘Class of 2019’ say goodbye at Woodlands Day Nursery
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house at Woodlands Day Nursery in Milton Keynes as children marked the end of their time at pre-school with a special graduation ceremony, surrounded by their proud families and practitioners.
In the picturesque forest school area outside, practitioners from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Byerly Place hung photographs of the children’s journey through the setting from the trees and rolled out the red carpet as the festivities got underway.
Dressed in traditional gowns and mortar boards, the delighted children collected their certificates of achievement along with a framed poem to commemorate the day, before posing in front of a specially crafted 2019 sign.
Woodlands Day Nursery Manager, Alyson Hefferon explained;
“We are so proud of the pre-schoolers and everything they have achieved in their time at Woodlands. We will be very sad to see them go but are confident that the learning opportunities we have provided them with will stand them in the best possible stead for school life.”
