Celebrating International Friendship Day at Devonshire Day Nursery

In order to mark International Friendship Day, Managers at Devonshire Day Nursery in Chiswick have organised a series of treats to honour their hardworking colleagues.

As well as being given handwritten cards of appreciation, which were also sent out to those on furlough, colleagues from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Bennett Street enjoyed treats in the staff room including chips and dips and ice lollies, as well as a photo competition and themed quiz as part of the festivities.

To extend this, children at the setting also enjoyed discussions about the importance of kindness and friendship, and spoke about the important people in their own lives.

Devonshire Day Nursery Manager, Emmy Avery explained;

“Some of us have worked together at Devonshire for over a decade now and there is a real sense of family at the nursery. I am so proud of the way the team has navigated the past few months and wanted to show my gratitude for the way in which they have demonstrated an incredible sense of team spirit. The children have also really enjoyed the festivities and talking about what friendship means to them.”

International Friendship Day is celebrated worldwide on the 30th July.
