Cedars Day Nursery create reverse advent calendar

Parents and practitioners from Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard are embracing the season of goodwill by collecting clothes for the homeless.

At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Mentmore Road, families have donated a grand total of 30 bags; including jumpers, jeans, coats, scarves and sleeping bags to ‘Hope for Homeless’ as part of a reverse advent calendar initiative, where each day something is given instead of received.

Cedars Day Nursery Charity Representative, Victoria Stone explained;

“Christmas can be a magical time of the year, but also one of real financial hardship for many, which is why we’ve chosen to do this. We are so grateful to everyone who donated to make an incredible difference to those who are far less fortunate than us. It has shown real sense of community spirit.”
